Manor Park Primary School

'Playing, learning and growing together'

Pictured are the two pupils who were awarded Best Daffodil and Best Decorated Pot in Manor Park School with their trophies, presented by the Mayor of Douglas Debbie Pitts at the Douglas Borough Daffodil Competition Awards yesterday. This was a very proud moment for the girls, their mums and Mrs Forrester who were all present.

The girls were also awarded First Prize for the Best Daffodil from across all the Douglas Borough Schools and Second Prize for the Best Decorated Pot from across all the Douglas Borough Schools. This resulted in each girl being presented with an additional trophy for their efforts and prizes of books, sweets and a garden trowel. The school was awarded the Douglas Borough Daffodil Shield which can be viewed in the trophy cabinet at the front of the school, and £100 worth of book vouchers. This is a massive achievement for both girls and for the school. The families enjoyed a buffet in the Mayor's Chamber at the Town Hall before returning to school to proudly show off their silverware!
