During their final year at Manor Park School your child will meet staff and pupils from Ballakermeen High School who will visit Manor Park as part of the transition process from Primary to Secondary schooling. This will involve a series of visits to the school and visits from high school teachers to Manor Park.
They will then be invited to attend an open evening at Ballakermeen High School in the spring term prior to their transition to secondary school.
The children are able to spend two days experiencing the environment and lessons at Ballakermeen, as well as taking part in sporting and musical events that provide the children with the opportunity to meet fellow Year 6 pupils from other Douglas schools who they will be learning with the following September.
If you plan for your child to attend one of the other Island High Schools please let us know as soon as possible so we can ensure they access transition programmes provided there.
