Manor Park Primary School

'Playing, learning and growing together'

Manor Park School, first opened its doors to children in 1975 as a junior school. Children transferred from Demesne Road Boys School and Tynwald Street Girls School.
Manor Park was named by one of its first pupils, Gary Roberts.
Mr Roberts, who was the Island’s Chief Constable, chose the name because the school was being built in what had been the grounds of Pulrose Manor and the Pulrose estate had been built on land originally called Pulrose Park.
In 1986, Manor Park became a primary school, when the former infant school closed and the younger children moved to the site.
To celebrate the milestone, current pupils have performed a 50th anniversary concert with music and clothes through the decades and held a Summer Fair where past pupils and staff came to visit.
