Manor Park Primary School

'Playing, learning and growing together'

Manor Park Uniform Policy

At Manor Park School we wish to project a smart look and take our appearance seriously. We believe that by dressing in a similar way our pupils develop a strong sense of personal pride and togetherness. Children can feel awkward or out of place if they do not look like their peer group.

Our school uniform consists of a navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan worn over a white or pale blue polo shirt and grey trousers/skirt or pinafore. No jeans!

In summer girls may wear a blue and white gingham dress and the boys may wear grey short trousers.

The children should wear wherever possible black, flat school shoes which are considered ideal footwear for running around the playground at playtimes!

Children should always wear a waterproof jacket/coat into school during the colder months.

We ask that all of our children bring a PE kit into school. The PE kit consists of a crew neck T Shirt in your child’s house colour (assigned to new pupils at the beginning of the school year), navy shorts and black pumps. Joggers and a navy fleece are optional for outdoor wear with a pair of trainers.

If your child takes part in swimming with the school, all girls require a one-piece swimming costume, whilst boys must wear fitted swimming trunks rather than the long short style. All children with longer hair MUST wear a swimming hat. Goggles may be worn.

All items of clothing should be named.
