Manor Park Primary School is located in Pulrose, Douglas on Pulrose Road.
There are regular buses to the area and a bus stop is located on Alder Road.
The school site can be accessed on foot following pedestrian pathways to the main entrance. All access to the rooms on site is through the front entrance. All visitors are expected to report to the school office and can phone ahead to make special arrangements for access on 623794 if necessary.
Pupils who attend our Specialist Provision Centre (SPC) are able to access their learning space through ‘Blossom Class’ entrance. The SPC minibus parks in the space outside the large gates at the front of the school for pupil collection and pickup.
As the school is on different levels, access for wheelchairs to different parts of the school needs to be arranged on arrival at the front entrance, a staff member will guide visitors to the appropriate access points needed for their visit.
There is a car park that has one designated Blue Badge parking space.
There is one general disabled toilet located in the entrance corridor next to the staff toilets. Special arrangements need to be made with staff at the school if visitors to the site need to use this toilet as it is only accessible from the side entrance to the school from different areas of the school.
There are also changing facilities next to our Specialist Provision Centre.
Schools are required to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ for children with disabilities under the Isle of Man Equality Act 2017, to alleviate any substantial disadvantage that a disabled child faces in comparison to non-disabled children. This can include, for example, the provision of support staff, specialist equipment and resources or adjustments to premises.
